I found this one CRH and it really stood out. It looks totally black, but still has a lot of luster. I noticed that it had a couple scratches where the regular grey color was showing through, which made me believe it could have been plated with something?

It also has a MAD obverse which I think is responsible for the weakness at the bottom of the coin?

Coin weighs 11.20g

I was also thinking it could be an improperly annealed planchet (AKA black beauty), but wasn't sure.

It has full luster and has a red color above the eagle, which I believe could be the copper migrating to the surface. It looks a lot darker in hand.

Still looking for a couple more opinions

On the 'black beauties' the color is often showing cart wheels:

The surface on the OPs coin looks rough.

The surface has me wondering what happened to the OPs coin. It is still a collectable MAD coin, but there is some contact marks on the obverse, so grading of this coin would be lowered because of the damage. But still a great collectable.
