How do I figure it out? Who knows maybe somebody painted it - you never know these days. Thanks a bunch. Had to replace the original pictures because I forgot to adjust my color settings.     Edited by CoinCents 03/11/2016 12:12 am

weight is 2.25g, that's normal then right?

Its not missing any clad layer with that weight-it looks coated with something?

I honestly don't know, should I scratch in between the reeds to see what I find?
I has a low luster look to it. If was coated they did a good job to get into all the crevices. There are no clumps of debris on it either.

that coin was found buried here is some examples of what I found with my metal detector against normal coins, you can see how dark they get
