I saw this today while cruising and though it was cool. Once again, never knew they existed...

1901-$10-Bison-Note

There's a pretty good description of it in the listing.

Not to mention Lewis & Clark's portraits on the note. Sigh...our currency was more interesting back then.

And to think, I had a Speelman-White when I was younger, sold it when I got married, and never thought to check if it was a mule note.

The Bison notes are beautiful, and quite popular. That one (not necessarily a star note!) is on my want list.

Wow, almost $3,700 and still did not make reserve. Wonder what they think it should sell for. Wouldn't you like to find a couple of these tucked into one of your grandfathers old books.

I have never seen a starnote that old. I wasnt entirely sure if they even made them back then.

Wow! That's a real rarity. The bison note is very popular as it is. That one looks to be about f+ condition. I was offered one a long long time ago by a dealer for $250. It's probably worth five times that amount today! It's STILL on my want list! I don't know how much the star adds, but apparently the seller thinks it adds a couple of thousand!
