Is this a double die the devices look way to thick witch a second image to the right of the first one seen on most things with more less the same height from the field from the rest of the devices. Especially the L and I in liberty. It's like there's another one to the right visible really bad on some parts.

I'm gonna say it's normal GP the '74's can have some really fat devices-wait for others to chime in tho

I think this is one of the years that one of the master hubs had doubling. Meaning a biiiigggg portion of the cent population for this year is doubled

That year had a large and small date. That one is a large date. On the coppercoins listing for a DDO, I've never been able to see a DDO on it.

The small date listings, maybe. I'd have to look into it a bit more.

Most of the 1974 cents have a thick 197. I do not know but I have a theory the mint added the 4 to working dies,that's why the 197 looks doubled (class 6) and the 4 looks normal,just a theory mind you.

No they did a total re-design probably for the Aluminum coins. Then used the two designs the same year.
