Hey folks,

The ebay seller that has this Capped Bust quarter listed has many suspect high-$$$$ value coins listed currently.

Does anyone else think that this CBQ looks wrong?

Looks perfectly fine to me. The only suspect-looking coin is the 1793 wreath cent, but he guarantees the authenticity of it.

The coin looks fine, but what's with that hole? It looks like the red material is showing through, but there's nothing on the reverse. I guess it just has something in it.

The quarter looks fine. What are your concerns with it?

OK I'm possibly getting a bit paranoid but this seller has been mentioned in several threads on this forum for questionable coins. I don't like the look of the Seated dollars and wondered if this CBQ looked a bit off since I don't see too many fake CBQs.

I think I'm wrong on this quarter but still have doubts about some of the dollars the seller has listed.

It's fine. I see nothing suspect about this coin you've posted.

It's Fine (that's also the approximate details grade too), but unfortunately this has been holed, which is a shame since its smaller than your typical holed coin.

I am surprised that the "hard dig" does not show as a bulge on the reverse. Usually when the metal is moved like that it shows on the reverse.

If you're concerned, just avoid the seller.

It does show a minor mark:

It matches the 1831 B-4 with Rarity:1

It does show a minor mark:

Heads upside down on coins. It would be somewhere near the arrowhead.
