Very good point Joe. Although you are selling low grade LWC, buffs, etc.. A thief could know you collect and break in later. It's a sad world we live in sometimes.

I had my very last garage sale ever, early last summer. After my father passed away and the dust settled, we figured we'd have a garage sale and recoupe some out of pocket expenses. Although my father left us with more than enough to take care of things. Some minor things required cash.

Never the less... I have never seen so many cheapskate, lowball, I want something for nothing, types gather at one location in my life! I'm done, never again.... I will throw it out or leave it sitting on the shelf where it was. Or at the very least make the extra effort and ebay or CL it.

Lots of scavengers out there. You won't be able to get 1/2 of what you could get at a flea market. My grandfather set up at flea markets and although there was plenty of haggling, there were better buyers than garage sale buyers who wanted everything at rock bottom price.

I try to buy items at garage sales, not sell at them since it is hardly worth your while to sell anything good.

Just spend them as change, wheat cents are just change. Collector value coins are like the Indian Head cents. Even modern proof set Coins are change. Shinny change my local coin dealer says.

Placing anything of value on a table at a garage sale is really risky. With money, you'ld have to have someone there all the time or they tend to walk.
