At least for me. I have been buying a few rolls of old copper from a guy at my monthly coin club auction. My last year or so has been concentrating on trying to get the top 100 Lincoln rpm's (a little over half way there). Anyway, this member asked me last month if I would be interested in buying lots of copper from him that he had stashed back for years. Of course I said yes and asked him to weigh them and I would offer him a price per pound. He told me last night that he had a little over 60 pounds of copper and he wanted $100 for them all. It didn't take me but a second to know that I was basically paying nothing for them so I agreed. Didn't check them out until this morning. One of the great things is that they are all rolled by date/mm, makes my searching a lot easier. Out of the 62 pounds, most are 40-50's wheats. 2-3 rolls of 1920's and 3-4 rolls of 1930's, a little over a roll of steelies, plus over a roll of War Nickels way down in the box. There is also 20 rolls of bank rolled 1963D bright red Lincolns. Not really sure what to think about the ones in the last photo-the wrapper says 30 out of circulation Lincoln Wheat Coins, US Minted 1909-1958, Recorded and Filed as Historical US coinage, Registration Number 5821, Sweepstakes Winner 91. Anyway, I am pretty Happy Happy Happy! This is going to beat the heck out of searching bank boxes for awhile. *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

I'm starting to acquire about that many rolls of nickels... and I grab rolls of pennies whenever I get a chance also. almost ALL of mine are original mint rolls or bank rolls... some day I'll make a young guy happy at a coin club meeting... many decades from now...

Just a stickler, but I'm pretty sure it's lode. Not load. Could go either way too, I guess.
