Being Canadian I don't have too many of these beautiful coins - this is now my oldest US silver dollar and I think it's also the best in shape. Your thoughts on grade would be appreciated. BH1964 Bedrock of the Community United States 10982 Posts	Posted 04/22/2016 4:04 pm The parallel lines in the fields and the glossy devices indicate an improper cleaning. The detail might make XF but with the cleaning the numismatic value is nearly gone. Still probably a $30 piece to someone because it is a slightly better date. P.S. panzaldi Bedrock of the Community United States 18657 Posts	Posted 04/22/2016 6:16 pm watch the surfaces closely when purchasing for signs of cleaning as it typically will reduce the coins value significantly. this one was very harshly cleaned and the value is now worth only its silver contain.
