Given that AMPEX offers random date cleaned coins of the same type at $290 and even other such coins go for around $220-$240, I feel at $205 I got a decent deal that is more about appearance even if bordering on "junk gold".
It has certainly been rubbed. Gold is soft. Although it may be 'junk gold', all of the details are present and correct.
It could be possible to build up a denomination set in junk gold, and perhaps add a slight amount of 'value added' in the process. At least, there would not be very much premium it loose if you happen to be a bullion accumulator.
