If he or she is a RCM dealer still made money just the mistakes of not making enough, now it will be interesting what the other large dealer from Western Canada will do, almost sure it wont be offered at list price. The market place easily absorbed same amount of small sized 2013 superman coin only difference is the amateur flipper is dealing with a 1300.00 unit, must be able to accept the risk and reward.

Quote:Some selling price dive occurred recently, and I believe one of our members can share more info. Was it good will or other reason caused to the experienced seller to sell the coin for almost RCM issue price - not clear. But it definitively caused some experienced potential buyers to hold, and wait, while on ebay Canada I saw 20+ listings..... I have following the prices every day and yes, there has been a decline in prices. Especially the auction listings. Before the CDN $1373 coin sold yesterday, on Sept. 9 one sold for $1692, on Sept. 7 one sold for $1774. The BIN are still OK, they are the $1800-$2000 range. It should be pointed out no coin has sold for $2798 or $2699, despite those prices showing up on completed ebay sales. The same coin Justsilver bought for $1373 was sold for $2798 on Sept. 5 for $2798. However someone on this forum on page 45 said that coin actually sold for $1873. As for the $2699 sold coin, if you go to watchcount.com, the person sold 3 out of 4 coins. One was for $1999, another $2199, both in early August, and the last one Sept 9 was best offer. One is left at $2699 and that is the price shown on the completed listing. In short, he didn't sell any coin for $2699.

@john100 No dealer in Norh America has Delta Gold Coin in stock now, except Talisman, which is selling USD$1400+ ( depending on serial number ) ebay will be the main market place now for trading Delta Gold Coins.

I spoke to The Coin Shoppe this morning and they are buying the Gold Delta's for $1550 at the moment from anyone willing to sell to them.

Maybe there will be a bidding war for this coin among dealers now...giving that none available amongst dealers...that would be a first no?

Most dealers has some, they just held them to sell at premiums, this coin was an easy pick for a winner due to decent design subject, unlike the surprise egg coin.

While almost all predicted success of this coin (Delta), not all have ability to pay CAD 1200 to have CAD 300 - 400 "quick profit". And the Pysanka coin was available for affordable CAD 115 (?), but who knew that this kind of stuff will be popular?

$1300's Delta Gold Coin is a high price product for small dealers.
Many of them just ordered 1 or 2 pcs for their VIP customers.
SGB soldout all its stock ( total 17 pcs ) at reasonable prices.
The Coin Shoppe sold out few pieces and seeking coins in RFD few days sgo.
CDN soldout long time ago to its VIP customers. ( 1 pc per customer )
If most dealers still have some, what price range do they expect from this coin? CAD$2000? CAD$2500?
isn't current sold price CAD$1750+, good enough for dealers who already got discount in the first place?
I believe most dealers were out of stock and dealers, who has coins available, already listing coins at premium on their websites.
p.s. SGB sold at premium The Coin Shoppe sold at premium Colonial Acres sold at premium Talisman is still selling at premium

That a dealer lists at a premium is not always indicative of the actual sold price. But I'm glad people who want to collect this coin are quite likely successful, if they patiently watch and wait. Quote:

It is my theory that popular new releases are directly sold by dealers to their customers, without ever being listed on their website via a wait list.
