Isn't Canada a Vulcan phrase for something?

You might be right, John In analogy to "Typing Monkey", there is a language in the Star Trek Universe, where the "Canada" means something star fleet related.

A fellow coin collector told me that the first person In the Vancouver Mint Store lineup on Tuesday morning was there 10 hours in advance of opening. Turns out that people who came much later at 8 am still managed to get a coin.
The guy didn't really have to line up so early if the Mint store was upfront about how many they would have available that morning. The store treated the number of available coins as a state secret because they refuse to divulge the number of coin that will have for sale.
My friend agreed with me that some shenanigans was involved. They store probably reserve some of the coins for preferred customer who spend a ton of money on coins. Or the staff bought some for themselves or friends and family.
Do anyone know the situation at the Ottawa and Winnipeg Mint Stores? Did those stores have stock on Tuesday morning?

If you are a RCM boutique employee, and almost everything in the last few years rarely sells except for 1 or 2 items, and you get many calls regarding this one coin what do you think these employees are going to do, buy a few for themselves or friends. Seems like almost all RCM dealers are selling this coin well above issue.

The only fact that I know is that MoneyPenney lineup No. 10th and I am No. 12th.
Only 9pcs Delta Gold Coins available in that morning for customers.
MoneyPenney just missed by 1.
p.s. we did not give up and waited there, wishing, hoping, praying those lucky 9 customers have credit card problems and can not buy. Unfortunately, they are all in good credit. sigh........

Depending on size of RCM dealer, they could have a 30% discount, that's almost 400 buck markup on this coin, if there was no demand our friends from St. Louis would be discounting.

Some selling price dive occurred recently, and I believe one of our members can share more info. Was it good will or other reason caused to the experienced seller to sell the coin for almost RCM issue price - not clear. But it definitively caused some experienced potential buyers to hold, and wait, while on ebay Canada I saw 20+ listings.....

Notice the low COA #4, 5, 6 or 8? If as a benefit, MC members are offered lower COA's, it appears they also rank lower than RCM approved dealers. http://talismancoins.com

This is truth, Wildflower, but it also natural balance. The Talisman for RCM is MC customer with type = "Dealer", means, also eligible for the same benefit. And probably, due to very high volume of purchase by Talisman, they allowed to reserve more Serial Numbers. And the #1? I assume, some high ranked "in house" collector (or might be he/she collects COAs only) took it.

Yes, that's true Silveroid. I suppose what strikes me as a bit cockeyed is the fact that dealers are in the business of reselling, whereas RCM promotes their MC program towards loyalty by NCLT collectors. Therefore dealers would automatically tend to add a premium to the resell whereas it would increase a collector's satisfaction in their purchase. Otherwise, if low COAs are deemed to be valued at a resell premium, it would make more sense to me if RCM just advertised and directly sold the low COAs at a higher price similar to First Day Issues, instead of the it being played more or less like a lottery ticket and the luck of the draw? To add: Oh my, just noticed the only 2016 gold to sell on ebay since the 9th sold for $1373 and free shipping. If the market is not jumping up and down over it, in my opinion it's because of the small size of the "Canada" coin in comparison to the large wooden case, at the average resell price well in excess of 2x for the 1/2 ounce of gold that it contains.

@Silveroid Browsed ebay, saw a bargain and orderd it right away from one reputable seller yesterday. A listing, Delta Gold Coin, was selling for CAD$1,373 with free Xpresspost shipping. Which is cheaper than if I buy from Mint boutique ( $1391 including tax ) It is very strange, because average ebay sold price on Delta Gold Coin is around CAD$1,750 and one reputable seller maked Listing price CAD$1,373. To make long story short. Seller already wrote me thank you letter and sent me CP track number, package will be ship today. Same seller listed another listing last night on Delta Gold Coin for CAD$1,966, after this Coin ( BIN CAD$1,373 ) I guess this seller might want to sell this coin for USD$1,373 but accidently put CAD$1,373. Can not think of any other reason. p.s. Seller honored this deal promptly ( might lose between $75 - $175 depending paying tax or not ) instead of retracting this listing.

Anyway, congrats on good find, Justsilver. Hopefully, you sure, that you need this one Quote: I guess this seller might want to sell this coin for USD$1,373 but accidently put CAD$1,373. Can not think of any other reason.

Unusual explain - commitment of seller to sell 1 coin for low, due to the bet, or something like this. No doubt, he will honor it. Possible lost of CAD 200 less important, than established good reputation.
