That's correct the mint won't ship until payments are made. My rep. confirmed yesterday. Anyone on that plan won't see them until December.

@Rg500s
So those customers who ordered Delta Gold Coins but were on payment plans, still have time till December to decide to cancel order or not.

@justsilver The ones on payment plans do not receive the coin until fully paid. I do not believe that many will want to wait until December. Why would someone buy something that they cannot afford? Does not make sense to me. RCM should not have allowed this for the Gold Delta. Just my opinion.

I put my two on the payment plan, but it worked out exactly - my last payment was the 6th of September - and that was they day they were shipped. I received them on the 8th. My wife took a look at the pair of them together, and had a great idea. We are getting a jeweler to put some hooks on them to make a wonderful pair of earnings. She is so thrilled.... me - not so much.

I did not mean to offend anyone. I was commenting about receiving them in December. What you did with your payment plan was perfect because you received them exactly when they were issued in September. Your wife's idea about earrings is hilarious. I doubt that you would allow her to do that. Lol

All RCM Star Trek Gold Delta coins, that have been received by large German dealer (these guys have accumulated for centuries knowledge in numismatics) have a quality issues. What are the issues - not clear, but we can assume, that this is could be toning spots or areas due to foam insert? Well, the root cause is just assumption, but sad to hear about this. Please inspect your coins....as owners you can live with this, but if you planning to resell, better if coin will be perfect. Anyway, nice to know that not all the coins impacted, your pictures of Delta are great!

Mine have some very tiny hairline scratches but I think almost every delta coin has them from what I saw. Gold is a very fragile metal compared to silver so it's prone to have more scratches.

If RCM decided to accept return but refund $$ instead of exchange due to soldout ( no more stock ) For sure, I will keep my " tiny defect" Delta Gold Coin instead of return & refund. Mintage shall be lower than 1500 pcs. in this case. Of course, return & exchange ( RCM will mint more and melt defect coins ) is another story. p.s. I had return & refund ( asked for exchange but no more stock ) on Venetian Butterfly Silver Coin due to broken wing.

Any good serial number? (something Star Trek or anniversary related, and not "low COA" )
Nothing special. My gold delta was #770. But I bought these Star Trek combo coin FDCs from Perth Mint:
