The picture is a little blurry, but I'd say MS-64, Red at best. The coin has a number of marks on Lincoln's profile and the rims. I've seen some coins like this end up in MS-65 holders. I knew a dealer who was selling State Quarters back in 1999 and 2000 who got $35 to $45 apiece for them in MS-65 holders. Then one of his customers came to a show and was ready to ring his neck for "cheating" him. The exchange got really loud.

I had taken one look at what he was sellling, and my reaction was "pocket change in a PCGS holder." The coins had obvious marks and were not "gems" at all IMO.

I know that some of the cents in the 1940s and '50s bring stupid high prices (In my opinion) when they are red and in high grade. I don't get it, but it's not my area of collecting or expertise, so I'll leave at that.

You coin has nice color, but I don't think that the overall state of preservation is outstanding.

makescents9,

I moved your post. This forum defines a Lincoln Cent as a Modern. Please post to the Modern section next time. And check where a topic should go in the future.
