Mine Lab Explorer SE Pro. I've found tons of silver in "searched out" school yards and parks at 10-12 inches deep. I can tell what I'm digging and how deep it is about 80% of the time before digging. 16-18 hours search time on a single battery charge.

Used MD's 35 years and this detector makes everything else I've used look bad. Just leave yourself plenty of time to dig deep.
Rest in Peace

Yeah , and leave plenty of room in your wallet for all the money that the Mine lab will cost you .
Seriously that is one bad boy machine .

I swing the Minelab Explorer 2, for about seven years now. I bought a new ML Etrac, but I don't use it much, a backup for $1,200.

The Explorer 2 and SE Pro are two hot machines, reasonably priced higher-end tools. This Exp 2 is equipped with the Detech SEF 10X12" coil, good for coins 10-12" deep.

The Exp 2 is older FBS technology, but can be found on ePay for around $500.

I use a AT-Pro and a Bounty Hunter Pro Platinum...
They are both good detectors.
