I have had an "Express" submission at PCGS since 5/13/2016. The estimate on the submission form states a 5 working day turnaround and is currently 13 working days on the PCGS website. It has now been 24 working days so far and still NO grade yet. Am I being unreasonable in asking that I NOT be charged the express rate of $65 per coin as this is taking pretty much as long as an economy submission normally takes to get done ? This is 5x as long as quoted on the submission form and nearly twice as long as is quoted on the website so far

PCGS must be getting the lion's share of coin submissions. I sent a few gold $5 Libs and $10 Indians to NGC using the early bird service on June 1st and I got the tracking details for return shipping on the 14th.

I got an email from PCGS customer service telling me I will only be charged the "Regular" rate for my delayed express submission. I wonder if that will eventuate

Good to hear. They would've probably lost a customer if they gave you the runaround and stuck to express fees. Do ypu ship them to the states trout?

The so called "Express" submission has now been there for 30 working days which is longer than the estimate for the "regular" submissions which is the rate I was told I would be charged for this late submission and yes I submit and ship my own coins. Quote: And any word on the cooks being changed to SP? As far as I am aware I can send these back at my own cost both ways ( about $80 USD)and there is absolutely NO guarantee that they will be attributed correctly anyway.

38 working days and still no results for my so called express submission yet I have emailed Customer Service to ask if they can look into this But as usual NO reply to my email again I have just renewed my NGC membership and this entitles me to $150 worth of submissions again. I haven't had a coin graded by NGC for a few years but I have been a member since 2011. I have put together a small submission of an "in come the dollars/cents" set and a Specimen Captain Cook coin and will post this off tomorrow. It will be interesting to see how long this submission takes and if they attribute the Cook coin correctly. After $150 is taken into account these 7 coins will cost me $5 to be graded and this includes return shipping as well

I wish you the best of luck Trout, the PCGS waiting game is always difficult....
I submitted some world coins under regular service back in March (at the time a 27 business day estimate) From the time PCGS received my shipment to the day they gave me a tracking number for return shipping was 16 business days (if my definition of turnaround time here is correct) Then again my first submission back in 2013 took nearly double the estimated turnaround time...

The express submission has finally been graded 30 working days late. To PCGS's credit though they have promised to refund me the $203.71 AUD in full that they have deducted from my account. Lets see how that pans out

Did you have to ask for the refund or did they offer it to you by themselves?

I finally got a reply back from PCGS and guess what? Even Refunds have a 5-10 working day turnaround at PCGS, My last 5 day turnaround submission took over 40 working days to finalised so I am thinking that the exchange rate will have changed by the time the refund hits my credit card

Quote: It will be interesting to see how long this submission takes and if they attribute the Cook coin correctly. Over on the NGC forum there is someone complaining because his world coin submission is running WAY longer than the posted turn around times. Good luck. Oh and by the way, if they don't attribute the Cook coin correctly you are out of luck. NGC does not guarantee attributions.
