SIKH EMPIRE
After the death of Aurangazeb, Sikhs were organised by Guru Gobind Singh. By 1799, Ranjit Singh captured Lahore and set up the Sikh state. The area was divided into four provinces in - Multan, Lahore, Peshwar and Kashmir. It grew in power under united Sikh power until its glory weakened at the second Anglo-Sikh war of 1849. The Empire was literally torn apart adding different parts to different Princely states and keeping some areas under direct British control. Now the area falls in four nations - Afghanistan, China, pakistan and India.

Thanks for the continued education. It looks to me like that leaf is the symbol of the Sikh Empire. Is that correct?

@Spence:) Thanks for the post. You are right. This leaf is seen on all the coins issued after accession of Raja Ranjit Singh. Many coins of this Empire have come out from unofficial mints also.
