VIJAYANAGARADuring 13th and 14th centuries, South India used get frequently invaded by Muslim rulers from Delhi. In the Deccan a Hoysala commander created the Kampili kingdom near Gulbarga . The Sultanates in central India united against Vijayanagara in January 1565 that resulted in Battle of Talikota. Aliya Rama Raya was killed in the Battle of Talikota. Followingly Tirumala Deva Raya started the Aravidu dynasty and founded the new capital Penukonda.Tirumala divided his kingdom to his three sons to abdicate in 1572. He died in 1578.
