On May 21 I took a group of five kids and two adults from my church metal detecting at a nature preserve along the Milwaukee River near where I live.
Several of the boys had gone detecting with my before on church retreats. Two sisters also came along as did two adults who wanted to try out detecting.
We hunted the area where I'd searched before for about an hour and a half. They had a good time and everyone dug up at least one coin. I let a young girl use my ACE-250 and worked her. She found seven Memorial and a 1948-D
Wheat cent.
Afterwards two members of our church, who are on the board of directors for the preserve, served out little game juice and cookies.
