Hello All, I was hoping someone could help me make up my mind. Because of my health I had to retire at 50 which was 11 years ago. Chronic emphysema as well as other issues make it hard to exercise so lately I have been gaining some weight which in turn makes my breathing even harder then it has to be. I did a bit of detecting 35 years ago and really enjoyed it so I'm hoping that joy will give me the added incentive to get more active. The coin pro and go-find 60 are the same money ($219.00) and to me seem like good choices but I welcome an opinion. Oh and weight is very important since I'll be carrying an air tank or portable concentrator. Sorry for rambling and thanks ,Carolina Don..
Rest in Peace

Welcome to the CCF Don. Glad you are here.
Both are good brands with solid reputations. I would look at features that each has and decide which you like best. I think you can't go wrong either way.

My first detector was the Fisher F2, I love it and have never regretted my choice. The current similar model is the F22, it has a few extra features that the F2 was lacking, it can be purchased for $229. What ever you decide, have fun and enjoy!!

I'll be blunt and say I hope price isn't your barrier. Reviews on the Minelab are less than flattering, but both units have been described just about worthy as stud finders.

If you are at least half serious about the hobby, pick up a Garrett AT Pro (waterproof) or a used Minelab explorer, both of which can be found for around $500. The Garrett is very popular and I can vouch for the Explorer, also a winner.

Carolina Don, I still have my Whites 6000/D, but am ready to upgrade. This machine has performed well. Unless they have gone downhill I will get another Whites. AG "Digger"
