Hi all,

Any help with thisone would be appreciated.

The legend looks a bit like Burma but it is not a match. The animal seems to be a cow or bull. But after quite a bit of searching I can;t figure this one out. Any ideas?

Many thanks.

Found it by luck! Seems to be a coin from India. If I'm reading the website right, it's an "Anna" coin from 1943.

Thanks....do you have a web reference? Do you mean 1843? This must be older than 1943 I think.....

Indeed a 1/4 anna from the Indian state of Indore. Year is 1943 Vikram Samvat Era, which corresponds with 1886.
