Now that we've seen the best of the best from Antebellum period, it's going to be a Morgan and Barber Fest! I cant wait to see some super blazers and color.

I'm a little late to the game, but I dug up this truly beat up 1854-O Seated Liberty half dime while metal detecting this morning. Not much to look at but it is a New Orleans mint and the second oldest U.S. coin I've found detecting. By the way, I found it in a small town 50 miles north of Milwaukee, WI so this little coin did some traveling.

Looks like it was a nice day digging ... I hope it is not as hot there, as it is here. Might be a little beat up ... but if your like me it is always nice finding old silver.

I was looking through my pictures on file, and could not find a 79 O. So have to dig some out. I knew this thread was going to cause me a lot of work ... Thanks Moe ..... ------------------------------------------ Before I start taking individual/year pictures, Here is a picture of New Orleans Morgan's .. well the ones I have when I stopped looking. Pretty sure I found one for every year except 1903 O. Pictured 54 "O" mint coins.

Most of my Morgan's are bucket dollars, so most are far from perfect. 1879 O

Not perfect, but it seems that they have led a good life.
