1903-O Morgan dollar A coin of unique lore and price history. Once on par with the 1893-S in rarity and demand, the Treasury release of mint state examples in 1962 compressed the value scale of this coin considerably. Still relatively scarce but no longer considered rare, a VF-20 coin has about 85% the value of one graded MS-64!

1903 is the only New Orleans Morgan I don't have. Finding respectable, accurately graded MS63 and better coins in TPG holders is very difficult for this date and mintmark; most of the ones I see are overgraded, overpriced, unattractive, or all three at once. A circulated 1903-O Barber dime & a very circulated, and tape-toned, 1903-O Barber quarter will have to do for now.
