Just curious when I don't see any design elements missing at all? Looks to me like a centered broadstrike what am I missing?

Look at this on ebay:

1999 Lincoln Cent certified Off Center Mint Error by NGC! sku 184

Most def looks broadstruck out of the collar, otherwise the rims wouldn't have flared up on the sides like that.

I am of the opinion that all broadstrikes are out of collar strikes, and for the coin on ebay, it is not a off center..

I only used NGC for one submission a number of years back, then argued over the phone with them after receiving my coins back without the variety listed (even though I paid the $7.00 Variety Fee)..

Lucky for me, J.T. Stanton was still employed at PCI for his Signature Series Slabs, and after speaking with him on the phone, submitted 2 NGC Slabs to him.

The end result was my NGC MS65 Quarter was only valued at $35.00 with out the listed variety, and is now valued at $500.00 in the PCI MS65 Signature Series with variety listed..

Simple they messed up. It is clearly a centered broadstrike.

You notice in the description they just parrot what the slab says and don't correct the TPG's error. I wonder if they even realize it is wrong.

I sent them the following message, we'll see if I get a response or if they correct the listing.

NGC didn't have the year and mint on the label either! Strange?

Three days, not a peep out of the seller and the listing hasn't been changed. He either doesn't care that the listing is wrong or he doesn't know enough about errors to know whether I was telling him the truth or not.

Frankly I think a centered broadstrike is "cooler" than a common off-center.

That really makes no sense. He has mega feedback and sells coins. He is also a "top rated" seller (which is not easy to get these days). I would think he would at least write back to ask for more information about it.

Is their any chance that it would be a counterfeit, since there is no date on the packaging like Mac mentioned?

This coin is indeed real and in a real NGC slab, as I checked the certification number and it's this exact same coin! They messed up big time on this one! We have ourselves a winner!

I hope this guy realizes that this coin is misgraded and gets this coin regraded by NGC, otherwise it will sell as something completely wrong!
