I have an entire collection of those. Perhaps you've seen it, I keep it scattered in parking lots around the country.

Barely recognizable as a US nickel due to severe trauma applied after strike. I would pass it on to the next clerk that will take it. The bank will take it to be recycled. You might have to point out Jefferson's profile. Thanks, Doug.

That's probably the worse I've seen, maybe it had an acid bath. Not to worry though, when I first started out I posted all kinds of coins that I thought were errors. Good thing this - this is how we all learn - from the experts and this forum has some of the best, so you are in good hands.
