ohh I also forgot to add that I found some strange possibly British coin. It is from 1962 and says "One Penny" on it. But its the siz of a half. Any idea if its worth anything?

The final box ended up with 3 90% (1 Kennedy, 1 Walker 41s, and 1 Barber 12d) and 11 40%. Have two more coming next week!

My last 2 boxes of $1000 I found 1 40% bad week. But I know if keep searching I will find more.
The week before I found 11 40% and 1 90% so its just (hopefully) a few bad boxes.

What fun. I have picked up 4 rolls on 3 different occasions but nothing of note except some 2001s. I may ramp it up to a 500 box though as I find searching halves to be more fun than nickels and dollars. (though I did find what I think to be 5 sintered Monroe's in one roll. Four are about the same, speckled, but one is almost evenly light purple and free of significant bag marks. Wierd.)

I'm guessing getting a box is better than individual rolls because they don't get searched by bank employees? Then what to do with ALL those halves...

Yes, spend them. Get them back into circulation and make people aware of them. Some people have told me that they don't make halves anymore; that's how much we don't spend them. I mentioned the Presidential dollars to someone the other day, and she never knew there were any. Think I may put some of mine in circulation. |
