I do hope he is okay and life just took him in other directions. My last email from him was in May 2017 when we were discussing some new topic ideas, one of which was HFBCWG for banknotes. I need to bump that one.

One last coin with an interesting denomination from the Duchy of Urbino: 288.
Odd-Denominations-On-Coins---The-List

The obverse legend of this coin has been translated as "Coin of 18 sedicine" (literally coin of twenty minus two sixteens).
18 times 16 is 288, so the face value of this coin is 288 quattrinos.

Thank god the decimal system came along!

In 1714 the City of Geneva issued a 10 and a half sol coin (7/64 of a thaler) in both silver and gold.
