The font they've used for the '6' on the date seems exceptionally large compared to the rest of the date, it jumps right out at you. Just curious if any 'small 6' varieties have shown up anywhere?

They changed the font in 2010. I haven't come across any small 6's.
Yes, if you compare it to a 2006 nickel, it looks really different.

I don;t think there are small sixes, considering technology can make millions of dies that look the same.

I think have a pair of 2016 nickels that seem to show subtle near 6 and far 6 differences. Came across them in my change earlier this week. Only noticed when I looked at them in my hand at the same time while checking my pockets for change.

The Near 6 seems almost touching the D and the tip of the 6 not so rounded on the point - almost looks straight-edge. The far 6 has much more noticeable gap with the D and more rounded point on the 6.

I'll try and somehow get photos and post here, although haven't been successful yet with my camera to get enough close detail of the 6's.

I haven't had any further 2016 nickels in my change to see which one is more common.

EDIT: I checked my album of nickels and the one I have in there looks far 6.

Trying to get pictures but haven't been able to get anything remotely clear and detailed enough to see the difference. I'm going to try scanning them somehow as none of my cameras can focus on something that small without a flash.
