This GSA Morgan didn't attract much attention, for some reason, but upon looking at the pictures and not just the bid price, I was surprised to see the heavy obverse and reverse clash of a VAM 2C3, a pleasantly scarcer variety.

Seller pictures of this 1882-CC don't really make it look as nice as I think it is; I have it at MS-62 or MS/63. Let's see what CCF thinks. Yes, it has card and OGP.

Nice coin ....

As much as I would want to go MS 63 on this one, with the hits on face
and above the ear ... I think I would have to go MS 62

Granted it has hits on the face the fields are relatively nice. Hence I can see this in a 63 holder.

I like 63 as well. The VAM-2 series is really interesting.

...and can also be a head ache at times! There are just so many varying stages within the known die states. Had a friend positively ID my VAM-2B1 a while back... I was about clueless (somehow lol). Sometimes the listings cause more confusion than clarity!

Great coin!
