I was just listing coins in Ye Olde Electronic Store and did one of those cartoon double takes on this coin. The coin is :
Roman Republic denarius - T. Claudius Nero, 79 BC - Diana / prancing biga

but it weight about 2.7 grams and you can see the copper core in 2 areas, one on reverse, one on obverse. WOW!

Not uncommon, some celator skimping on silver.

i read that the serrated edge was to deter counterfeiting, maybe it did to some extent...but I've seen a few of these around.
