ccnz Valued Member New Zealand 54 Posts	Posted 09/11/2016 05:02 am Well the helmet looks a little squashed, so it may be PMD. Not sure about the golf club looking blob between the F and the Pike. There is definitely looks to be some sort of damage to the top part of the coin where a chunk of the coin is missing, but for it to form like a golf club looking blob? doesn't look like PMD on that bit. Sap Moderator Australia 16941 Posts	Posted 09/12/2016 12:07 am It's definitely PMD, not a mint error. On a more modern coin, we might call such damage "lawn mower damage". On an ancient coin, we'd call it "trowel damage". Not quite sure what you'd call it on a piece of this vintage, though it's been caused by being hit with some force by a bladed tool.
