Hi,
I am always wondering about history of this coin. Can you help me? I got it from my cousin years ago, he also didn't know much about it. I am enclosing pictures...

Thanks,
Nathan V.

Could it possibly be a Roman coin?

This is a coin of the emperor Licinius I(ruled 307-324)
The readable part of the obverse is:

"...LIC LICINVS P F AVG"

It appears to be similar to Sear #3050, the reverse inscription being "IOVI CONSERVATORI" but there are similar varieties and it may be too worn to determine.

According to my book it is an inexpensive coin.
