Society of Medalists info is available here: http://medallicartcollector.com/som...kground.html and includes information on "reported quantities" of the 139 medals in the series.

A collectors guide to the Hall of Fame for Great Americans at NYU series is here: https://www.medalcollectors.org/dis...-of-fame-nyu. but does not include mintage info.

Exposition and World's Fair Collectors might find this site useful: https://www.expositionmedals.com/

Excellent, commems! Morton is worthy of far more than a MACO medal in my book!

A contemporary of his almost earned a gold coin:

- What If? 1930 Crawford Long $1.50 Gold Coin

Also - Nice Ike medal! A worthy first!

Thank you, commems! Crawford Long is also a worthy candidate for more than a stamp and statue. After the number of surgeries and dental procedures I've endured, I shudder to think of what people went through before anesthesia.
