cptbilly sent me a dm asking about storage of medals whose boxes are missing or falling apart. I thought that perhaps others in this thread would benefit from my reply. Quote:Lighthouse coin capsules. They make ones that accommodate coins / medals of large sizes. Caps XL 29-76: from 29mm - 76mm in diameter, and 6.3mm thick Caps XL 53-101: from 53mm - 101mm in diameter and 14mm thick. Included are concentric inert black plastic rings that allow you to get a perfect fit for your medal / coin in the capsule. Wizard Coin Supply has them, but they are also on ebay. Compare them to see which price + shipping is a better deal.

Thank you, Captain. I hope that you can find an appropriate capsule for your medal(s). Note: the Caps XL 29-76 come in packs of two, while the Caps XL 53-101 are singular. Unfortunately they are not inexpensive.

Phillips Brooks - Abram Belskie Designer/Sculptor Phillips Brooks, DD (1835-1893) was a charismatic clergyman, born in Boston, who served as the Rector of Boston's Episcopal Trinity Church from 1869 to 1891. He is remembered, outside of his pastoral career, as being the writer of the lyrics for "O Little Town of Bethlehem," the popular Christmas hymn.

Excellent medals, cptbilly! However, I'm not too fond of that "temperance" thing.

I realized I had this Churchill example. It's 70mm in bronze. There is also a 63mm .999 silver version. It was produced in 1965 shortly after his death.
