I have an 1809 capped bust I believe is VF35-XF45 and would like more opinions, I would also be interested in selling if I can get a desirable price. It is the "llllll" edged variety.

This coin is nowhere near XF45. VF35 is a stretch as well and it looks closer to VF25 in the images. That said, assuming there is no big variety premium, I would value it around $250 retail if there are no hidden problems. As a raw coin in today's market I'd be happy with $200 if I were selling it. Good luck!

Here is a good site for grading. You won't be able to sell it here on CCF until you have enough posts.http://www.PCGS.com/Photograde/

I'm not convinced it is problem free. I'm at VF-25 possibly details. (ED & Cleaned). Not a bad looking coin.

Looks cleaned and may be beneficial for an acetone soak to remove the grungy looks especially on the obverse. Nowhere near xf. I'm at vf25 too. Granted the early dates are unevenly struck

I am not sure this coin is genuine. Maybe one of our Bust Half experts can check die varieties on this one. It appears to have a design from later date dies.

I was thinking the same thing as IGE. It would be great if you could weigh in it grams and tell us an exact weight with decimal points

I'm not by any means an expert but it looks real enough to me. Looks like a 108 although markers are either worn or can't be seen due to the blurry pics. An O-108 would make it a III edge as the OP states. It looks like (if I squint hard enough) it does have the scalloped point on star 13 which would likely not show up on a fake.
I'll give it a VF25 potentially details if we see better pics.

Here's an O-109b which looks close. This one is PCGS VF-20 so the OP coin looks to be low VF, maybe VF-20.

It does look somewhat like a 109, especially the obverse stars but I thought the shape and layout of the date numerals looked off. Tough with blurry pics to compare to. Either way it is still a III edge as OP says.
