These last couple of your posts have been especially interesting for me. The Harrison one had me researching his 1812 defeat of the British near Moraviantown.I lived not far from there in my youth and had stopped at the "town".It's just a cairn and one small recreated cabin (8'X 10').It was a very small settlement in it's day. The Van Brook tokens helped me ID one that I've had in my collection for years. It's identical to yours but is numbered as 318.The other side has an eagle sitting on a US shield over a sprig of some foliage. No Cash Value appears above and below the eagle. I really enjoy seeing the new-to-you tokens that you post. Thanks.

What I love about buying bulk bags is you never know what piece of history may turn up.Bought a mixed bag of junk silver, nickles, pennies,Canadian coins, Foreign and tokens. Looking at the stuff in the bag. It would be worth the asking price. with the money and tokens I could see. This one was a medal commemorating the king and Queens 1939 visit to Canada to drum up support for the coming world war. It was made in two sizes and in bronze and silver, this one is the small size 26 mm, worth about a dollar due to how many were made and sold.

Being a local to my area dealer, they tend to turn up often in the LCS bargain/50% off bins. These are the first ones in plastic holders I have seen. other ones that I have picked up in the past were marked anywhere from $3.00 t0 $6.00 and sold from .50 to $1.50. These two were in a large mixed bag of tokens, cull US coins,Canadian coins and world coins. That cost $20.00 With the other tokens, And US culls which went into rolls and traded at the bank. Told the teller about the pennies, dime and nickle rolls, she is saving them for her younger collectors. hope they will be joyed when the find the Indian heads and Wheaties in the rolls. The local banks do not exchange Canadian coinage only paper money. You have to either go across the border, or possibly at the duty free store at the bridge or tunnel. Having under $10.00 to exchange it isn't worth the diesel fuel to go. Don't know if the above helps you or not.
