Yeah.....because NOW they need to make the coin albums with a "raised edge" pocket or something......whoever comes out with one would probably make some money selling em'..!!
And I think the only way to have a nice set of these is to "crack em'....I have a nice Whitman for mine and I think I just might put my "proofs" in there ! That would get the most value possible and the best presentation of them. My Whitman album for them is a really nice one......it has the protective "sleeve" to slide over them, once they're put into the hole..... and you can see front and back (of course not the edge!)........What better album to put "proofs" into?

What is the reasoning behind using edge lettering? It's awful.
The intention was to have enough room without cluttering the faces, since they added lettering to the obverse for the President's name and the term of office. IMHO, I think they could have fit the legends on the reverse and the date-mint on the obverse without making a mess.

I think they could have fit the legends on the reverse and the date-mint on the obverse without making a mess I think a hype factor of 11.367 was combined with the expected hype factor of 31.384 for the new product.

I put away a bank roll of the Presidential dollars each time a new one is issued. No particular reason other than having them to pass down to the grandkids someday.

As a former history teacher I must admit I enjoy taking out my album and looking at the coins released so far. Causes me to think back and recall what I had learned about each President.
