Maybe next year you Mob can get your act together and make sure the gifts arrive before Christmas instead of way after.
Its NOT that hard

Santa says by the end of January, so everyone is still doing ok. Some people are very busy in December.

Apparently my use of a Canada Post "flex-delivery" address, despite CP claims of how it will make my life so much better, has been hit-or-miss. On my end I know of one item they received for me and sent back after two weeks having never notified me. ....And apparently it was causing grief for my Secret Santa as well, so please, no ill will toward the Santas :)

Seriously ?

We had about three weeks between getting our assignments and Christmas day, It takes but a few moments to package and post a gift.
I can imagine that there could have been delays with overseas postage and customs but the majority of gifts would have been sent within the same country and should have easily been delivered before Christmas.
Call me a cynic but I am thinking that some of these delays have been caused because a few of our Members waited until they had received their gift before posting to their assignee, This isn't the way that SS works people.
Many of us had recipients that were halfway around the World and yet the gifts arrived on time.
This "I'm too busy in December" excuse is Pathetic, A bit like "The Dog ate my homework" excuse.
I think that it is very important to make sure your SS gift arrives on time because after all it is meant to be a Christmas present and not a new years gift, Or worse just some random package that arrives weeks later.

@trout that's not too nice..people are extremely busy, not only in December but all the time, so come one. and not everyone has a prepackaged gift waiting like you did. some people like to take a bit to look at what their SS likes and look for the right coins to send to make it that much more special.and some people have to buy that coin on ebay which could take a while to get to them, then they have to send it out. please..3 weeks flies by, people have busy lives, and it sucks some people get it later, but it's the thought that counts. one should not be made to feel bad about their package arriving late, especially when it was done out of generosity.
Feel free to call me Will.

I didn't have a pre packaged gift at all, I saw who my recipient was and assembled the gift accordingly as to what I though would be appreciated/liked.

Precisely.
That's why I made the effort to ensure that my package arrived "On Time", Like you say it "Sucks" to have a late Christmas Present
If you are busy or not it is NOT that difficult to put a little something in the mail so that it arrives On Time, Probably about the same amount of time it has taken me to post this reply.

# 5 All gifts should be sent so as to arrive by 30 January 2017 the latest.

No one is late yet. Mine was sent and received long ago, so if you thought I was making excuses, you thought wrong.

I do commend everyone's punctuality, but also understand other's delays. If anything I feel bad I cheaped out on my recipient. Refer to the middle of rule 7 for the rest of my statement.

As Hermes Conrad says: Happy Xmas Xmas people!
