Quote:Seriously, some posters could not care less about spending a dime on this coin;; yet they are posting the most negative things about the RCM. Sheesh. Whoever said life was fair? It never will be. Posters who demand this coin and never buy anything else from RCM, should not be balking Quote: IMHO, This is another case of people trying to scam the system. I always figured that there was only one available to any Master Club member - with the intention of distributing them only to collectors and not those that want to make a quick buck. Could be in some situations but these in no way describe my circumstances. I'll elaborate more once the dust settles but suffice it to say the Mint is very low on my Christmas card list right now.

CC....I feel the same. Maybe for different reasons. I'm curious to see how this one turns out.

Still reading RCM disclosure - it's not about whether life is fair or not. The Govt of Canada has legislated Consumer Protection Laws that require companies to follow through with what they advertise and to ensure advertising is not misleading or blatantly false. That'd be quite an alarming situation if RCM, a Govt crown corp, is considered to be exempt from Canadian Laws......considering the intent of that type of regulations is to protect us from getting ripped off by scams. RCM advertises in their website that anyone who chooses to spend a minimum of $1500 in the previous Program Year and achieves a Gold or Platinum MC level has 45-days to decide to buy this coin. That's seems absolutely straightforward. Where does it say otherwise? If it were me having difficulty, I'd remind RCM of their disclosure commitment.

I don't think the bullk of complaints or the substance of the complaining is unwarranted- RCC has to be consistent in their delivery of reward programs so that the loyal customers don't have to do acrobatics in processing a desired item...

Absolutely correct. This should be a bottom line of the behavior / action. 7 listings on ebaySix of them coordinated in the price range CAD 400-500 with Best Offer. This could be the future value of this coin. Second in the series - appreciated, but not as the first.

@wildflowerAB..... They fail to mention " if there's any left". IMO what happens is because of the 5 tears or more to the program. Levels 4 and 5 plus get the offer first and by the time it gets to the lower tears they are all sold. It would be nice to know how many members are in each level. I wonder if RCM knows?

RCM doesn't even publicly disclose there are five levels. It's as if the top 2 are a secret society. Just sharing my personal opinion but all the levels of hierarchies are absolutely bizarre especially when promoted by a Coin Minter arm of the Canadian Government, a government which strongly proclaims to advocate equal rights for all.

If you want equality, all you have to do is spend over $5000.

Yeah RCMs MC levels, can't help but be reminded of George Orwell's Animal Farm "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others." LOL!

The fight I had with them was being told I could only get the full benefits of Platinum Plus if I ordered through a Rep; all my purchases to date have been through the web-site. I'm very pleased to see with this release the reps are not getting away with skirting the rules.

I'm betting there will be a lot fewer Platinum Plus and Prestige members next year since they removed the face value coins from the program. This should help distribute the coins better through the tiers next year.
It's funny but a lot of people would like there to be more coins so all levels of MC can get them but then the coin(s) wouldn't be so sought after with higher mintages. Can't keep everyone happy I guess.

Sure but then the chance of buying an extremely limited mintage of Exclusive Coins should be advertised differently. It's misleading of RCM to insinuate that Gold and Platinum members have 45 days to decide to buy when in reality, given whatever mintage they predetermine has the potential to create an instant Sellout.
