@Nubee

I completely missed 2015 Renewed SD ( voyageur ) then decided to buy one from ebay for USD$475 in Feb 2016

Talisman currently has 2 Voyageur Renewed SD available on its website for USD$600 each.

Luckily I did order the Voyageur but I'm undecided with the second coin.

Edit:.... sold out so I guess that settles the matter for me.

This is interesting:

The 1967-2017 Goose Canada Dollar 5oz coin with limited mintage of 2150 and very limited in single coin representation, available for long time at CA for CAD 629.

The 1967-2016 Parliament Library Silver Dollar 2oz coin with mintage of 2200 offered on ebay for close to CAD 400.

Do people like more Library SD, or it just newest thing?

The Library coin is in good hands, not in hands of flippers, with such a price point and low mintage very few comes into marketplace as such creates demand, unlike the Delta coin too many fell into flippers hands along with the RCM's stupid months delay, they got scared of getting back their money and flooded the marketplace all at once, can't be scared if you're playing in the big boys game.

Hmmmm....I understand, John
Yes, you right. The Library Dollar in hands that not in hurry (even do not want) to let it go, while many Gooses have been bought by luck searchers.....

What do we learn from here?
Two similar appealing coins, even similar format, minted with similar limited mintage, but one - available to all, and second - "closed club" - the former will be more popular.

Sorry you were comparing the goose coin, also with increased mintage and the fact many collectors held back buying the set, due to the simple worry of the RCM greed of doing a following colour set but the same facts apply how can you flip a coin that's available for issue in sets.

The goose coin (5oz silver) at $560 or Library (2oz silver) at $190. As JS points out similar cons in most aspects.

I can only surmise it's the theme and the fact that Library is a follow-up of a successful 1st coin.
The goose, as others noted, could be followed by a colorized version.

I have not received mine yet.
On the website it is still marked as processing for me. Of course my last order was received a couple of weeks ago and is marked as processing order as well.
I am not a fan of their electronic follow-up nor their website.

If the order was placed through a rep (order number not prefixed by "WEB"), we should be able to use that order number as the "reference number" on the canadapost web site to query if the parcel was shipped.

Thanks, mine was done on the site. I have the web prefix on my number. I just filled out the Mint survey and it was so easy to complete. Just a reminder of the apparent lack of management or follow-up on the website. I actually have better luck using my banking info to verify if something was shipped. Once it is posted as a debit I assume it was shipped.

I don't think they charge only once they ship. I still have a charge on my CC that I cancelled before it was even shipped. Seems to me like there dragging their feet in shipping these coins. Leaving everyone in suspense as to IF they will be get the coin(s) they ordered.
Tried using the order # as the reference # at Canada post...no luck.

My credit card charge for a purchase usually gets filed under authorized transactions and then transfers to a debit when they ship. It was on the authorized charges for days and then disappeared Tuesday night and still has not appeared in debits. Amazing how hooked we can get over this stuff.
Enough whining for me.
I will post next time when I have some real news.
Good luck...
