It's a 2 oz silver Canadian coin, mintage 4,000. Evidently the mint store offered it at $142USD and was sold out same day. Now the cheapest I can find it is $345.

I'm not usually into "colorized" coins, but it looks like this one would have been a decent investment.

Yes and it's a beautiful coin.

The first in this series was Moonlight Fireflies (a canoe with illuminating fireflies) in a woods setting.
The coin above you are referencing was the second in the series and my favorite.
I do not have the third one which is an underwater reef.
I think this may be the last in the series but I'm sure someone else will pop in that knows more about the series than I do.

Congrats! That's an awesome coin, and clearly a good financial choice!

I saw something about a raven and northern lights also somewhere....

I like the design ...

I have so many premium silver series going right now, I don't really
look for new ones

It does sound like it was a good deal ... if picked up at issue price.

Yes I have yet to see the fireflies in person but from what I've seen it doesn't "do it" for me. I'd love to get this one, Moonlight Wolves, around issue, but the going price is far from my league. The newest one in the series is Fiery Sky: Weather Phenomenon (not same series? it's a [EDIT not a 2oz, def. diff. series] 1oz full-side coloured coin with GITD....) which was "sold out" before it listed, but then got listed anyway, but is now showing sold-out status (again), but is still easy to get from dealers.... lots of butts when dealing with the mint.

Denver Coin Expo starts today. I can't get there until tomorrow, but I'll be looking for this coin, if any are offered at issue I doubt they'll still be there tomorrow, but a gal can hope!

One of the dealers at the Toronto show a few weeks back had one, I think his initial offer was around $435 CAD. If you can get this at less than 200% issue, I'd say you done good :)

I stopped at every dealer who sold any significant quantity of bullion coins and asked. Only one had even heard of it.

Keep a sharp eye out!

BTW! Notice the price on the ebay listing above. I wish I'd known about this coin at issue! APMEX had them even cheaper.
