Hi Echizento it could be Celtic, Danube Region. Transylvanian Plains. Circa 2nd Century BC. AE Tetradrachm. Head of Zeus right / Rider on horseback right; sun above. looking on Wildwinds.com or Celtic, Danube Region. The Bartkranzavers. Circa 1st Century BC. AE Tetradrachm (7.05 gm). Disjointed head of Zeus / Horse left, sun or shield above. It might be that's all. Pic.

@doctorwho, that is an interesting possibility and there are some similarities between the obv of this Celtic coin and your coin. One thing that points me away from this being your coin is that the Celtic one appears to be scyphate (cupped) whereas your coin appears to be flat. Of course, knowing the weight of your coin would also help with the determination. You are right to be scouring wildwinds for possible matches though. I wish I could point you in the exact correct direction.

Agreed that size and weight are needed to help narrow down possibilities.

If it's small and around 4g, it might be one of these:

Danube region, Celtic imitation of Phillip II of Macedon coinage, II-I century B.C.
