Grrr...you'd think the PL sets that are prepared in Ottawa are handled with extra care.

Just popped open a 2004 Test Token Set with a giant gnarly thumbprint on a coin. I thought these sets were auto packaged. At the very least, at least use some gloves.

I also have a 2007 Ottawa Senators coin set with a long strand of hair pressed into the middle of the plastic holder that seal the coins. The grease from the strand of hair left a string of toning on the toonie. LOL ew

I should sell these as a gag on the ebay and see what I can get for some Mint DNA lol

My issue I with the US Mint. Last year I bought five of the coin and currency sets with the enhanced Native American dollars. One of the coins had a small black spider inside of the capsule. Talk about gross! I got rid of it as fast as I could.
Rest in Peace

I wonder... if like Amber, it's worth more with a bug in it?

My issue is something new I think. Only lately have I noticed that the language of the COA's contain the phrase "weights are nominal".

In one case (4 square coins that should but don't equal an ounce) you get more silver then stated.

BUT, as the mint is known for it accuracy in purity, you would think that it darn well be as close as scientifically possible to have coins with stated weights - actually weigh what is stated.

Further, I wish they would stick to standards that they themselves set up - take the recent Master Club coins - I think last year, the voyageur is stated as 2 ounces - but this year's library is listed in grams.

I'm with you on this issue, pick 1, ounces or grams; using both is confusing.
