Cherrypicked this coin off ebay and not I'm in the process of submitting this coin to PCGS. I am curious in your opinion on how it will grade. All thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Mid-VF, the hit might be too severe to straight grade.

Yeah, that is a big hole. I hate to see bad things happen to good coins. Looks like you hit the 1870 mother-load, though!

VG-35 if it grades. Good luck.

I'm thinking VF details. I don't think that darned obverse puncture will make it through straight grading, but hopefully I'm wrong.

Yea, that hole is quite big and I'm not sure if PCGS will tolerate it.I don't know what caused to hole, but I'm assuming it happened after the coin was struck. Anyways, thanks for all of you who commented do far and in I'll update you with the grading results in like a month or two.

VF-25 details. Two digs on the neck and a massive hit at 10:00 on the reverse wreath.

Yes, the one on the reverse isn't so noticeable when seeing the coin in person because it is sort of an indent, but in the photo it definitely comes out. Seems like I should consult this forum more often BEFORE I send in coins to grade

It might actually go straight. I'd hate to be the grader on this one!

VF-35 if it grades out. That's a pretty big hit. Hit on the reverse wreath too at 11:00?
