Hi All,

I'm new to this Forum.

I'm starting a new collection of coins from Russia years of 1921 untill today - I have started with the regualr circulation coins and lately I have started to collect also Soviet Commemorative coins from years 1965 until 1993 with the values of 1,3 and 5 Roubles only in Copernickel alloy.

* I'm not sure about Silver alloys since I think they are expensive - if some one collect silver Russian Commemorative coins I would like to knoe please - and is it Possible to collect them all?

I'm also interesed in Russian Commemorative Coins that are ans was in circulation values of 2 Roubles CN and 10 Roubles Bi-Metalic coins.

As I mentioned above I have just started this collection and I don't have many coins in my regular circulation collection and not that much also in my Commemorative Coins collection

If there are people that also collect coins of my interest I would be glad to know and share information with. (gxseries, hi)
I would be glad to have links to Numesmatic information about Russian Coins and Commemorative coins - even if it is in Russian.

I'm looking for technical information about the coins-i.e. diameter, thickness, alloy, observe and reverse information (and if it is a Commemorative coin I'm also looking for information about the subject of which the coin was minted for).

Here is a scan of my Commemorative coins

Thank you all in advanced
regards,

I like that one with Yuri Gagarin (20th Anniversary of manned space flight)--first coin. My Krause catalogue gives a diameter of 31mm for 1 Rouble commemorative coins, but the composition of "Copper-Nickel" isn't very exact. The coin just below Gagarin is 130th anniversary of Anton Checkov's birth.
