I just want to warn you Andrew and Gary that I would kill for those AU 1916 SLQ's. Where did you say you lived? You must have paid over $10,000 for those coins. Bring them to me....Bring them to me....Bring them to me!!!!! Are you hypnotized yet? If I can read a date on a 1916 SLQ that is about all I ask.

I think my album shall never host A 1916 lovely as the previous post From AU down to AG3 The joy of owning eludes me Indeed, for just a single Poor I'd gladly trade a Morgan score So sadly I must bide my time With a Walking half and Mercury dime. -- "The Lament of the Missing 1916 Standing Liberty quarter" by M. 1917-D quarter: Given the number of 1916s we saw yesterday, I wonder how many 1917s we'll see -- 100s maybe? It'll be interesting to see the breakdown of P, D, and S examples, and type I vs type II.

In the entire SLQ series there is only one date known with a shattered die. Here is the finest known of that date. There are over 60 separate die cracks on this coin. The die surely couldn't have lasted much longer.

Would like to own a 1916 someday, my time and funds are being limited to my 7070 type set and wheat toner set at the moment though. Type 1/2 graded au58fh and ms63

1917S Type 2. Darn staple rim scratch;it is starting to look a little less obvious. I have it in a cardbord 2x2 with the mylar punctured over the scratch to hopefully re-tone.
