I'm too new to have link posting rights, but Heritage's weekly newsletter just had an article describing MacNeil's 150 mm backup bronze cast for the SLQ obverse. Figured the folks in this thread might be the most interested.

You notice that even on an EF 1923-S the date is worn while the dates on 1925 and up the dates are good even if the coin is worn. How many SLQ's minted before 1925 still have good dates? I bet the survival rates for SLQ's like 1919-D, 1919-S are really low regardless of mintage.
