This is why Trump got elected even though he will probably turn out to be a 'disaster' (using his own favourite word).

Along this track that Doubleeagle just mentioned....Any bets that the decision to put Harriet Tubmans portrait on the US 20 dollar banknote replacing Andrew Jacksons gets cancelled . I have a McDonald Tenner saying it does.

I"m fine with that. Us Canadians like to think only the USA treated their Black people terribly, but systemic racism existed well into the 1960's. And FN people on the prairies still experience it today.

Bank of Canada is on Flickr, if you did not already know. Here is a better view of the new $10.00. Click on the photo to view specific pic, and click again to enlarge the view. https://www.flickr.com/photos/bankofcanada

Can't wait for the new $10's release probably in the fall.
Hope the other denominations also have a similar orientation and understand why this new series is being phased in much more slowly.
Like the expression on Wanda Robson's face. Hold on now, I thought you said I could keep this! What do you mean you want it back?

As important as the history is to Canada... I will miss the train and the mountains - it was by far, the best polymer note design. But then, I am a sucker for trains on banknotes...

Quote: I will miss the train and the mountains Definitely the more attractive of the Frontier series and one of my favorites just behind the Canada 150 banknote. Nice to see the Canadian Coat of Arms return and Parliament Library as well. Hope the remaining notes are as interesting and vertical orientated.

It is a very nice looking note. Very inclusive with more people-kind.

Ugliest banknote I have ever seen. Not with the subject matter but with the size of the head on the bill. It should not take up 1/2 of the bill.

I'm with MoneyPenny .....what a joke of an artistic effort. Looks like a third world Banknote. Also is that museum on the back of the note that ugly in person? I have been watching the History Channels rather excellent series called "NAZI Megastructures " shown out here on Wednesday Nights. The museum portrait reminds one of the West Wall structures built to repel the Allies during World War II before the Normandy invasion June 1944.

Saw this on the news, Neat that it's up and down, but looks like a government brochure.
As a banknote the imagery looks like it's from an Eastern European former communist dictatorship.
Museum looks like WWI German helmet.
What country is this for again?

There are definitely better angles of the CMHR. But then again I expect some of the detractors, based on the comments, would be grumpy regardless.
