The coins from the Ukraine all seem to have the same type and amount of wear. I'd be weary about them. Most of the ones from Hungary look OK, there are a few Roman denarius that are doubtful IMO.

My only input is you could probably find one with more detail for the money. The one I posted here http://goccf.com/t/273966 I got for $15 shipped and it came from Germany to the US.

I would generally recommend avoiding Eastern Europe for ancient silver. Spend a little more and buy from someone who guarantees authenticity.

If you are content with lower grades, you can sometimes find a lot if bronze coins with a silver thrown in as a hook. Not sure why people do that, because you can usually flip the bronzes back and keep the silver for about $5. Likewise, people sometimes list lots of several mid/low grade denarii that end up being about $10 each

First denarius and you are buying on ebay?

Don't do it unless you are buying from me (/joke).

Seriously, Vcoins dealers. They back what they sell and the extra $$$ are worth it for the knowledge that you know you re holding 2000 year old silver instead of 2 year old pewter, tin or whatever.

The sliver coins from Ukraine and the Russian federation all seem to have this grainy worn silver look.I think they are low grade fake silver coins. Maybe its the cleaning process used but the all seem to have nicks and scratches to hide imperfections.

I'm not an expert, but I understand Russian and like to spend more time than I should watching metal detecting videos on YouTube. This coins look a lot like the denarii that Ukrainian detectorists seem to find in the ground fairly frequently, including the kind of wear they have. There are a lot of videos up such as this:
