Finally got my first 2017! A 2017-D penny in change at the coffee shop here in SW Arizona. I doubt I will see any P coins here any time soon...

I got another 2017-P Lincoln Shield cent in change. This makes four.

I have not seen any of the other denominations yet.

I have been waiting patiently to find a 2017 LMC in my change. Plenty of 2016's have found their way to me, but not the 2017, until today. We went to Sandpoint Idaho for mothers day and we were walking along the beach of Lake Pend Oreille when I saw a coin laying in the sand, sure enough it was the reluctant 2017, Denver of course. Maybe I should go back and see if there is a 2017 quarter or maybe a 2017 dime and a 2017 most anything that still awaits for me to find in that sand. Denver, of course.

You're not likely going to come across a 2017 (or 2016) LMC since the reverse switched to the shield in 2010.

In my travels this week I came across a Douglass quarter and 2 2017 dimes, all D MM. Needed one of those dimes for my album.

I got my first 2017 coins this weekend. Both were free, also. I found a very nice, proof like 2017 P Effigy Mounds quarter, along with four 2016 Lincoln pennies ... get this .. on the ground! I was walking along and right at the edge of a yard, there they were, all shiny, literally like pennies (and a quarter!) from heaven!

Then today, at breakfast, I was trolling my nieces for 2017 pennies, when, voila, my one niece found a 2017 P cent in her purse, and, gave it to me!

Happy camper here!

10x the face value is nothing for a 2017 penny. Look at this one!

$100 for a 2017 penny? Crazy!! I don't care HOW nice it is, it's not worth that IMHO.

I stopped by the bank today to get some cents to search. The teller returned with a brand new box of 2017-P cents. Normally I'd be disappointed with all new coins, but I'm kind of happy since I've only found one 2017-P penny so far and it's a special one year issue (with a P mint mark). Since I'm not hurting for the $25, I'm thinking about just leaving the box sealed and storing it away. It's the kind of box with the holes on top where you can see all the rolls so that's how I know they are all 2017-P. I don't think they will ever be rare, but it's kind of cool to have a full box of the special 2017-P cent. What would you guys do?

Up to you, but I'd save a couple of rolls and dump the rest. ebay shows a few boxes that have sold for about $50.

LibertyEagle20, "What would you guys do?" I would send the whole box to me. LOL

Sure would like to come to your town and get a box from that bank. Banks around here(at least my bank where I have an account) don't have any rolls let alone boxes. I got a roll from a Food Lion grocery store, a roll from a Wendy's Restaurant, AND a roll from one of my banks branches.

Would love to have a full box of them.
