I did 94 boxes of cents in 2016. My results are:

IHC: 3 (1895, 1903, 1906)
Type 2 blank planchets: 2 (1 copper, 1 zinc)
Steel cents: 2 (both P)
Proofs: 5
Wheat cents: 1274
Total Canadian cents: 772
George V: 2 (1920, 1932)
George VI: 27
WAM: 2 (1998-P, 2000-P)
Notable: one 1972P-1DO-002

Not counting one outlier box that contained 258 wheat cents, the average was 10.8 wheat cents per box.

Fun year!
Rest in Peace

Egads. I hope you don't get copper or zinc oxide poisoning.

That is a BUNCH of cents.

I wear rubber gardening gloves! At first re-rolling the coins with gloves was a challenge, but now I am used to it.

All worth it for that one box, eh?

Good questions. Unfortunately, I think the best answer is that I found no key dates. The two earliest coins were 1909 and 1910. The only mintmarked coins prior to 1930 that I found were 1919-D, 1919-S, 1926-D, 1929-D, and 1929-S. Below are my 2016 CRH cent folders (in descending order). In the last few months I have found it very difficult to make progress on it. I find plenty of examples of late teen Philadelphia coins, but the mintmarked coins elude me. Hopefully I can fill more holes this year!

Outstanding! Did you keep copper LMC or just toss them back? And if you kept them, what was the percentage?

I didn't keep the them. I live in a small house, and they would take up too much of our space!

Thanks for sharing this. I wondered what could be found nowadays by someone dedicated. Let's hope 2017 holds some keys for you.

Very nice lot!
But I must ask, is this all of the wheats you found?
I don't know if I'm lucky, but I average between 1 wheat per two rolls, and 2 wheats per roll!
